My license has been inactive for a while - is that a problem?
No, as long as you've kept up with your continuing education requirement. If on the DBPR website, your license says Current, Inactive - smooth sailing. If it says Involuntary Inactive, you need to check to see what continuing education requirements and/or license fees and renewals are missing before we can activate your license. If your license says Current, Active, you're all set too.
I've got a client I'm ready to refer, what do I do?

Do you charge your agents a SPLIT?
Yes, it's 90/10. So Firelight Agents always keep 90% of every closed transaction. No processing fees or any other hidden anything. It's that simple.
How soon and how do I get paid my commissions?
Within 2 business days after funds clear from the cooperating broker paying the commission. We pay via Text-to-Pay (like Zelle/Venmo), Direct Deposit, and Paper Check. Your choice. There is no extra charge for any of these payment methods.
What if I leave Firelight before a commission I earned is received?
If you have a pending deal that hasn't closed if/when you depart Firelight, you still absolutely get your regular commission as soon as the deal closes and the cooperating brokerage pays us.
WHAT ABOUT MY MLS ACCESS?
You won't have it any longer. Not even if you want to pay for it separately. It's an MLS thing... since you're NO longer a member of NAR, you are NO longer a member of a regional board, SO... you CAN'T belong to a member's only regional MLS. Don't be sad - you're saving all those fees and if you have a deal that absolutely needs MLS access, you REFER it out to a colleague you like, or refer it to our sister brokerage (Local Choice Realty) for a likely bigger referral fee anyway.
How soon will my license be Active with Firelight Realty
Generally the same day you sign up. - often within an hour or two. it depends on what time of day and if it's a business day when you sign-up. We always do same day license activation whenever feasible. We do not charge extra for this rapid activation.
If I switch brokerages or just want to cancel my Firelight Membership, do I get any sort of refund?
We do not offer partial refunds if you switch brokers/cancel during your term with us, nor do we offer refunds after we activate your license. Remember to cancel your Membership before it renews in your My Account Portal HERE. Sorry to see you go, and best of luck. If you want to come back to Firelight and you still have time on your membership (even if you cancel, it's still valid until the 364th day after you signed up), you won't be charged again. Just let us know you want to switch your license back to Firelight. Hey, welcome back.
How do I arrange my payment for an earned commission from a closed transaction?
Go to Agent Services and login. Click the link for deals about to close and you're on your way.
How do I change or cancel my Membership?
Sign in to your AGENT SERVICES page and at the top, click the CHANGE/CANCEL Membership button. PS. Once we activate your license with us for the first time, your annual fee is not refundable. So be sure that Firelight is the right choice for you -- which of course it should be because we're great. If you do not want to renew your membership with us, please Sign in to your AGENT SERVICES page and at the top, click the CHANGE/CANCEL Membership button - BEFORE your year is up, and it auto-renews.
What kind of discounts do you offer?

What is / Do I need Errors and Omissions Insurance (E&O)?
E&O Insurance protects agents in the event of, essentially, mistakes - usually with paperwork or information being left out. E&O Insurance IS INCLUDED for Firelight Agents. Though, with Referral Realty, errors and omissions are particularly rare as the Referral Agent has little to do with the actual components of a transaction, but hey... you're insured.
IS FIRELIGHT REALTY IN ANY OTHER STATE THAN FLORIDA?
Not just yet. Firelight Realty opportunities are currently only available to Sales Associate and Broker Associate license holders in Florida. But stay tuned.
HOW MUCH WILL I SAVE BY JOINING FIRELIGHT?
About $1,500 per year - though it varies by your current brokerage and region. You will no longer have any Board Fees, MLS Fees (keep in mind, since you're not paying, you will no longer have MLS access - even if you want to pay for it), or NAR Fees (keep in mind, you can no longer use the word "Realtor®" to describe yourself - take the word off your cards and emails, once you join us). If you're paying monthly fees to your brokerage or desk fees or technology, initiation, or blah blah blah fees - you won't be any more with Firelight. So, yeah, you'll save a lot.
